About

Karolyn Greenstreet is an artist, designer, writer and communications consultant living in West Bath, Maine. Her contemporary studio art practice consists of conceptual and socially engaged multimedia projects, often using humor and performance to engage the audience in subjects of ecological concern such as plastic pollution and its relationship to climate change. Investigating our collective apathy and how to build alternative systems of mutual support are the central questions her work seeks to present. This practice informs her design, marketing, and communications work for cultural organizations and small businesses - and she’s been known to happily take on the occasional floral design or gardening project! Her current social justice activism work focuses on issues of food, housing, and land autonomy and how they connect to our environmental challenges. Karolyn is originally from the Boston area, but has lived in New York City and Maui, Hawai’i, prior to settling in Maine. She’s a graduate of the Vermont College of Fine Arts: MFA in Visual Art program.
